                                        1.關于媒體對孩子造成的影響:游戲、電影、電視劇給孩子帶來的影響都是雙面的,正面影響有:孩子可以通過打游戲、看電視等方式,了解到更多的知識,如認識各種動植物或學習必要的生活常識(common sense)等,這些都有助于構建孩子與世界的聯系,增加他們的知識量,激發他們的好奇心。

                                        但負面影響是:一方面過多地接觸電子屏幕對視力(eyesight)和骨骼都是有損害的,尤其對于正在成長發育的孩子來說,這種損害會更明顯;另一方面,不同于已經有足夠經驗和穩定是非善惡觀(moral sense)的成年人,孩子會盲目接受和學習其所看到的一切行為,如果沒有成人監管和引導的話,有些影視游戲作品中展現出的惡行(misdeed),經常會成為孩子們模仿的對象,造成不良后果。

                                        2.關于媒體對成年人造成的影響:便利的信息傳播手段(ways to disseminate information)給人們的生活帶來了極大的便利,手機、電話、電腦的出現,使人們無需出門,也能聯系到千里之外的人,實現溝通的目的。

                                        同時,各種新聞軟件、廣告等,讓人可以足不出戶,便了解到天下事,極大地滿足了人們的求知欲(thirst for knowledge)。但其弊端也隨之而產生,由于溝通已經無需見面,人們面對面交流的機會減少了,而缺乏表情和肢體的互動,會在一定程度上導致人們產生孤獨感。同時,經過加工(process)后的媒體信息,很多時候都并非客觀真實(objective andauthentic)的,人們很容易被其誤導。
